From 31 December 2020 Gloucestershire enters Tier 4 and as such all group activities are suspended.
The DRC January Strava Challenge begins soon and involves you trying to find the hidden Strava segment in each quarter surrounding Dursley and hopefully take-in roads you may not have travelled before. Club runs are running with restrictions on group numbers in order to manage the risks around Coronavirus. You must pre-book your place on these rides until further notice in order to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.
Club Run Groups
Each Sunday we normally run three club runs, all meeting at Tesco Roundabout in Cam (the lay-by outside Pizza Planet to be precise) at 08:45 for a 09:00 start.
The Social group takes a relaxed pace, generally covering about 40-50 miles. The Intermediate ride does 45-55 miles and is for those looking to develop their pace. The Pace group is for faster members, often riding 50-55 miles on a more challenging route. The aim is for all rides to meet at the same cafe halfway, taking us through the picturesque Cotswolds or across the Severn Bridge to Wales.
On the first Sunday of each month, we also run a introductory ride, for those who are new to the sport and group riding. This is a casual pace, catering for those who are there and often covers 30 miles, meeting up with the other groups at the cafe.
Routes are normally posted a few days before on our Facebook page and for club members we run a WhatsApp group to keep everyone up to date.

Club Run FAQs
Q - Will I be able to keep up with the group? A - Yes. If you're in any doubt as to your ability then join the social group. The pace is easy and even if you do slow down on a hill the group will wait for you at the top.
Q - Can I move between groups? A - Of course. As you cycle more and more your ability will improve. If you feel you want to go further or faster then you can. The groups are flexible and are sorted-out on the morning of the ride.
